Functional perovskite systems
Symposium Functional perovskite systems
Perovskite-type oxides exhibit a full spectrum of electronic and structural properties, as well as a wealth of ferroic and other ordering phenomena. Such properties make many of these materials multi-functional and enable numerous device applications. Today, progress in the synthesis of perovskite-based systems – including crystals, thin films, multi-layers, and various nano-structures – and the advances in the fundamental understanding of their properties – structural, electronic, conductive, magnetic – allow for conceptually new devices and systems with new functionalities or enhanced performance. At the same time, there are still many open questions and appealing possibilities regarding the engineering and application of the novel properties of these materials, as the field is getting ever broader and moves forward in many different and exciting directions. This symposium will be an interdisciplinary forum for researchers working on fundamental aspects, preparation and characterization, and device applications of these perovskite-based systems, and it will aim at providing a complete panoramic of the state of the art of the field.
The submission deadline for abstracts for the above conference is
